Alternator, Black, 75 Amp, Type 1

These new black powder-coated alternators are pretty slick.  They are offered in three different models:  55, 75, and 90 amps!  For most applications, 55A will be sufficient.  If you have multiple batteries, a thumping boom box, and/or high-powered off-road lights, you might consider one of the higher amp models.  Note that most alternators are grounded through the alternator stand.  These aren't, since the case itself is powder-coated.  You must add an additional ground wire (10 gauge minimum) to the ground stud on the alternator, which is normally attached to one of the mounting studs in the case for the alternator stand.
