Returns & Exchanges
We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return or exchange.  The following items are NOT eligible for returns: Electrical items, carburetors, any part that was special-ordered (meaning something we do not normally keep in stock, bearings, crankshafts, connecting rods, cylinder heads, pistons, or any other internally lubricated engine part, and cut-to-length items sold by the foot.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. All eligible returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.  This is simply because we are a small business with limited space and budget.  When we sell a part to you, we immediately reorder another one to keep in inventory for the next customer who needs one.  When you return that item, we are then over-stocked and have our paychecks for that week tied up in extra inventory that we don't need.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and incorrect parts
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately (within 24 hours) if the item is damaged, so we can contact the appropriate shipping or distribution center. If you've received a wrong item and we were at fault, we will of course make every effort to take care of it right away.  If you ordered an item that is incorrect or improper for your application, we will also make every effort to help.  However, you will be responsible for the restocking fee and any shipping costs to get that item back to us.  That item must be free from any damage when we receive it back and must be in new, unopened, and factory fresh condition.

Warranty issues
If you believe a part you received is defective, please contact us.  We will do our very best to contact the manufacturer/distributor on your behalf, who will administer the warranty according to their policies. Note that "warranty" is defined as a "defect in workmanship or materials".  It is not a result of damaged caused by the installer, misuse, a part installed in an attempt to correct an issue that it didn't correct, cosmetic issues such as scratches and dents, failure caused by the failure of a different part (example: the failure of a piston due to a valve coming loose in the cylinder head), etc. It is the responsibility of the installer to make sure that each part is correct for the application, and for inspection of each part before it is installed.  If there is any doubt at all about the installation, please have the item installed by a professional mechanic.  Note that we realize many VW owners are hobbyists, and may be limited in their technical abilities.  We will of course do the best we can to provide technical knowledge and support, but ultimately the responsibility is yours to make sure your vehicle is safe for use on public highways and/or in off-road or racing environments.  We will not be held liable. We only sell the parts.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 5 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
